The value of industrial products sold, accoording to NIP is expressed in thousand euro.
In order to calculate industrial producer price indices, the Nomenclature of Industrial Products (NIP) was highly elaborated for the section D (Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply). However, since electricity distribution areas significantly differ from county areas, presenting data on electricity supply by counties, according to the new Nomenclature, would heavily burden the electricity suppliers. Consequently, data for section D cannot be presented. Data for section E (Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities) are not presented due to a small share in the value of industrial products sold.

Value of industrial products sold under contract with principal

The term 'production under contract with principal' denotes production under contract with principal who supplies their own raw materials and other production inputs free of charge to the contractor (producer) who actually produces the product (or services) on behalf of the principal. Production under contract is always reported by the contractor/producer. The production value must always be reported by the contractor in the county or the country in which the production actually took place in order to avoid the duplication of data. Regarding the production value, the producer always presents only the compensation value contracted with the principal for the work done. According to the PRODCOM statistics methodology, the principal and the contractor/producer must belong to different enterprises.
